How Do We Work?

How do we work with you, you ask? Essentially, there are two main ways that we can help you, and it’s entirely up to you. Here are some examples:
“Transactional Approach”
You have specific needs that keep you up at night:
- You have an old 401(k) account hanging around at a company you left (or the company left you). You want to know your options on what to do with that account. We can help with that, Andmore.
- You want a retirement account for your employees, or maybe you have one but it needs to be reviewed and updated. We can help with that, Andmore.
- You have a business and you want to provide some additional benefits for your key employees. You know the ones – they’re the ones who allow you to go on vacation without having to check in every 5 minutes. We can help with that, Andmore.
- You have investments with another company and you want a second opinion. Maybe you think you’re paying too much, or you’re not getting the attention you deserve, or you don’t really understand what you’re invested in. We can help with that, Andmore.
- You have an insurance need, and you don’t know where to start. Life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care insurance, group benefits for your employees, insurance to protect your business against bad things happening – we can help with that, Andmore.
“Fee For Service Approach”
Ideally though we look at everything, in detail, and we talk, in detail, and then we customize a complete plan, and we collaborate with you and your other advisors, and we work as a team. We do all that, Andmore. For that we would charge you a fee and create a road map tailored to you. We give you the plan…Andmore. We hold you accountable to get the stuff done. We will work with you to get the stuff done. Some of the best financial plans have been written but not implemented. They’re only as good as the paper they were printed on. We want more for you.
So, what do we cover in the complete plan?
- Cash Flow – the starting point that affects all the other topics.
- Net Worth – what is your net worth today and how is it growing?
- Taxes – whether you want it or not, you’ve got yourself a partner in the IRS.
- Goals – what do you want your net worth to do for you?
- Workplace Benefits – too often they’re not maximized because people don’t know them well.
- Insurance – this is all about trying to take risk out of the picture.
- Investments – ah, we finally got here! Yes, we do investments…Andmore!
- Estate Planning – we talk through your goals, then collaborate with your attorney (or we recommend some for you to interview).
- Legacy Planning – want to make sure your loved ones, or favorite charities, receive what’s left? We can help make sure that happens.
*Implementation of your written recommendations will be done separately from the Financial Planning Services and Financial Consulting Services. Additional fees may apply to any implemented recommendations. You’ll determine if, when, and how to implement recommendations.
